Programs - CL and RPG As/400 Routines

CL As/400 Routines:

  • EACTCP001.CLP - Example of open source Easycom CL program that gives us possibility to change Magic/400 default settings.


RPG As/400 Routines:

  • MGCHGPWD.RPG - It is an example of RPG program that is used to change AS/400 user password. It can be used for development of C/S or Web Based change password interface.

  • MGJOBLIST.RPG     - This is an example of RPG program that is used to retrieve AS/400 job details of active Magic/400 (eDeveloper) DB connection or any other AS/400 job. It can be used for development of job/connection logging, statistic or license counting.

    MGQCMD.RPG - This is a very powerful program that can be used for development of Remote Call interface: Execution of AS/400 command language command from eDeveloper client.
    The programs return an error code (CPF message) and an error description. I strongly recommend using this program instead of  MGEAC32.RMTCMD udf.

    MGSETPRF.RPG - This is an example of RPG program that helps to overtake user rights of other user profile without sign in. Compiled by SECADM profile with option USRPRF (*OWNER) it becomes very dangerous.  Don’t put it in production. The security auditors might not like it at all.

    MGSCRIPT.RPG - This example comes to demonstrate a way to execute a call magic command line requestor mgrqcmdl.
